Here’s some good news for all those who love to watch Shahrukh Khan romancing Kajol on screen. According to the latest buzz, King Khan will play Kajol’s man in Karan Johar’s next, Zee News reports.

Talking to DNA, a source revealed, “Karan always works on one film at a time and he has just come back from Thailand after having wrapped up portion of his home production. Though he hasn’t announced his next film, it will most probably be with Shahrukh. But the film won’t be announced before the end of the year and won’t begin rolling before early next year, the reason being SRK’s dates. He’s busy with his upcoming films with Yash Chopra and Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’. He can only give dates in early 2013 now.”

SRK and Kajol have shared a crackling chemistry ever since they were cast opposite each other in ‘Baazigar’. Since then the duo have worked together in ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ and ‘My Name Is Khan’, all of which have been blockbusters.

Kajol happens to be Karan’s lucky mascot, and hence she does make an appearance in most of his films! daily times monitor

Mumbai, May 11 — After well-known actress Madhuri Dixit reportedly turned down Maharashtra's offer as brand ambassador for tourism, the state has sought megastar Aamir Khan's support for its various public welfare schemes that aim to protect girl child, a top official said.

Health Minister Suresh Shetty said following the immense popularity of Aamir Khan's new tele-show "Satyamev Jayate",he has already written to the film star for support to the government's campaign against female foeticide, which is rampant in some pockets.

The state move came barely a day after Aamir Khan held a high-profile meeting with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on the issue of female foeticide and sought his government's initiatives to tackle the menace.

Besides, top stars like Ajay Devgn and his wife Kajol will make a documentary on "Save the Girl Child" free of cost for the state government, an official said.

"They have penned the script which has been approved and will now be taken forward," the official added.

Well-known Marathi actors Sachin Pilgaonkar, his wife Supriya and their teenaged daughter Shriya are the brand ambassadors for the state-run campaign against female foeticide. "They are endorsing this noble cause without charging any honorarium," the official said.

In his letter to Aamir Khan, Shetty said Maharashtra has so far registered cases against 317 sonography centres in the state found conducting unauthorized sex determination tests on foetuses.

Besides, 27 doctors and four families of persons who sought the sex tests have been convicted with fines and jail terms in 25 cases lodged under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act in the state.

Shetty pointed out that the four doctors have been deregistered by the State Medical Council and names of another 40 doctors have been submitted for deregistration after they were booked under the PCPNDT Act.

"So far, 34 sting operations have been conducted involving decoy clients. Seven doctors have been convicted with fine and imprisonment for revealing sex of the foetus to the decoy clients. Other cases are awaiting trial in the courts," Shetty added.

Highlighting various other measures initiated in this regard, Shetty appealed to Aamir Khan to support and associate with Maharashtra's cause of elevating the status of the girl child and campaign against sex determination.

Bollywood diva Kajol looks all set to return to the studios this year-end.

If all goes according to plan, she will be back shooting opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar's next film.

News of the Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge pair, which has singularly given the industry its biggest romantic blockbusters has generated immense buzz in the industry, more so because Karan will be directing the film himself.


The filmmaker's track record with the SRK-Kajol duo bears a 100 per cent success rate, after all.

In the past, Karan's projects with the duo - Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and My Name Is Khan - have all been blockbusters.

While it is too early to learn about details related to the project, sources said Karan has the script idea of a mature romantic drama in mind for the pair, which will be based on a socially relevant subject.

'Karan has just finished up an important schedule of his new film, Student Of The Year, in Thailand.

'The next few months will be occupied in wrapping up the film, and then Karan will busy with promotional activity related to the film.

'He will most probably make an official announcement on the Shah Rukh-Kajol film around Christmas, and start shooting sometime next year,' a source said.

Student Of The Year, in fact, is the first film that Karan is making without any big stars in the lead.

But both SRK and Kajol have cameos in the film which also features Rishi Kapoor in an important role.

It was not a film shoot or a promotion for which the celebrity couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol were in Jaipur on Thursday evening. "They were here to consult an astrologer," a source told us. They flew down in a chartered flight at about 7pm in the evening and returned the same night, two hours later.

According to the source, "It was a totally private visit; Ajay was very particular that this visit be kept a secret. It was something urgent they had to discuss with the astrologer." Well, Ajay surely looked to be in a 'meet-the-astrologer' mood, dressed as he was in a yellow kurta with 'Om Namah Shivay' written all over, and a huge tilak on his forehead!

The attention grabbing Time magazine cover of a young mom, Jamie Lynn Grumet, breast-feeding her four-year-old is no weekend eye candy for sure. But it does draw our attention to motherhood and over-attached mothers.

Author Erica Jong lashes out against such attachment moms in her essay Madness of Motherhood, where she argues that this obsession with perfect mothering amounts to a reversal of the progress her generation has made.

Attachment parenting to a certain extent is needed. Bollywood has its share of mothers who have been under media scrutiny ever since they announced their pregnancy. Some, like Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon and Aishwarya Rai, moved away from the arc lights.

Actor Amrita Arora, who is pregnant with her second child, believes motherhood makes one feel good about everything in life. “I nursed my baby for six months and then hit the gym. You have to enjoy your time with the baby and feel mentally and physically fit,” she said.

Shilpa Reddy is of the opinion that one should be prepared for the changes that one’s body will undergo during pregnancy. “One needs to prepare herself for pregnancy and you need to welcome the changes that your body undegoes. I was a fitness freak throughout. I never felt I am overweight because I started working out soon after childbirth,” Shilpa Reddy says.

Ash, who has played all her roles — model, actor, wife — to perfection, is now playing the perfect mother. She is blissfully enjoying motherhood with her six-month-old daughter Aradhya Bachchan. “Some amount of attachment is needed and the maternal instinct is natural in most woman,” said Dr Ellen Shinde, senior counselor, 1to1help.net.

Viranica Manchu says, “This is my first time as a mother and I have the responsibility of taking care of two tiny kids. So right now, everything has been put on hold. I am not working and neither will I commit to any new assignments. Since Vishnu is not around much, I am going to make sure that I spend as much time as I can with the twins. Attachment parenting is a healthy concept and highlights the fact that parents’ lives should revolve around their babies and not the other way round.”

Actor and TV host Tara Sharma breastfed her sons Zen, 3 and Kai, 1 for a year. “I have a TV show about the adventures of bringing up kids and the main premise is to do what works for you. But seriously, feeding beyond a year just seemed unnatural,” she said. Dr Shinde says it is important for the baby to be weaned off breast milk after a certain age. “If you don’t let go and help the child evolve as an individual, the child will face adjustment issues as an adult,” Shinde said.

Ash belongs to a growing breed of moms who refused to cut the umbilical cord and get into shape just to prove a point to the world. Kajol, who gives a damn to public opinion, is yet another dedicated mom whose life revolves around her daughter, Nysa, 8, and one-year-old son, Yug. She, Raveena and Karisma gave stardom a break and dedicated themselves to their babies.

But watch it mommy. Too much attachment is bad. When an attachment mom gets obsessive, she evolves into a porn mom. Porn moms don’t mother their babies, they smother them. “There should be a healthy balance between attachment and independence which is age appropriate,” Dr Shinde said.

Circa 1957: In Mother India, actor Nargis in her onscreen avatar as a mother of two overcomes all hardships as she struggles to raise her children completely on her own, immortalising the long suffering yet, ever-sacrificing maa on screen.

Cut to 2012: Another widowed mom played by actor Dolly Ahluwalia is shown guzzling rum with her onscreen mom-in-law after a hard day’s work in the recent Vicky Donor.

Interestingly, this avatar of a mom was accepted just as readily by the audience, as the earlier maa was. Yes, the tears may still be a part of the Bollywood celluloid mother package, but the onscreen mothers have come a long way for sure, feel trade analysts and industry experts. Tracing the evolution of the Bolly screen moms, trade analysts unanimously agree that to a large extent,Mother India set the benchmark and paved the way for other onscreen mothers to follow.

Meanwhile, in a stark contrast to the epitome of goodness, the stepmother became the ultimate vamp in the family dramas. A decade later saw screen moms in some equally strong author-backed roles like that of Sharmila Tagore in Aradhana. But by the ’70s the word maa on celluloid came to be synonymous with tears, melodrama, helplessness, and Nirupa Roy! In fact, actor Shashi Kapoor proudly bragged about his onscreen maa in Deewar with a ‘Mere Paas Maa Hai!’ The eighties saw the moms take a backseat and emerging once in a while as the strong motivators and excuses to take revenge with the baddies. By the ’90s these moms became more like friends to our hero and heroines, and gradually progressed to becoming more assertive and unapologetic about wanting to address their own needs, apart from balancing those of the children.

According to a trade analyst, it’s a good phase to be a mom in Bollywood today. “The image of the stereotypical maa has been shattered to a large extent, though not completely vanished. Today the moms are as unpredictable as the overall content. And filmmakers are no longer conforming to any set rule, not just for mothers, but all characters,” he says. “Yes, just like the content, out of box moms are the buzzword too,” agrees Shoojit Sircar.

“There is no doubt that the audience is more accepting of the changing face of moms today, as it’s more reflective of the society. The fact is that each era had its strong mums, only now the ratio is tilting more in their favour,” says trade analyst Bharti Pradhan.

Actor Kajol too feels that there’s more variation in the image of onscreen moms today. “I think the variations were always there, but today the audience is far more open to seeing moms in a different light, which in turn is encouraging the filmmakers, who don’t mind steering away from the stereotypical fare,” adds Kajol.

I wanted to retire at 24, reveals Kajol

It’s been two years since actor Kajol made her last big screen outing. But the actor, who’s busy being a mom to her two kids — daughter Nysa and son Yug — insists that she’s in a very comfortable space, taking things at her own pace. “I’m in no rush to get back to films, but if I do get a fab script, I’ll sign it right away,” she says. The draw, explains the actor, can only be a strong script. “I will only take up a film if it can justify my spending that much time away from my kids,” adds Kajol as she settles down for a tete-a-tete.

Q: So, how was Mother’s Day?
A: Fun! Every day, every moment I get to spend with my kids is special for me. I really like and enjoy being with them. As for my mom (actor Tanuja) well, she has fractured her hand and is in Lonavala, so I just wished her on phone.

Q: Do your kids watch your movies?
A: Yug is too small, and Nysa doesn’t like my movies. She likes me as an actor, but doesn’t like it when she sees me cry onscreen and I have done that quite often in my last few films (laughs). But she loves watching Jay’s (hubby actor Ajay Devgn) films and keeps telling me, ‘Why can’t you be as cool as him?’

Q: So, will you have that in mind when you sign your next film?
A: May be. I would like to do some fun thing now, but like I said, it has to be a strong enough role to attract me first.

Q: Do you miss the archlights?
A: I miss the crafting of a character, but not being in front of a camera as such. I had my priorities clear very early in life. You know, I had initially wanted to retire at 24. I had been working for so long, at least it seemed that way, that I had decided that when I hit 24 or 25, I’d get married, just give up everything and go on a cruise. I didn’t retire, but since then, I’m doing things at my own pace. I have nothing to prove, I do films that really excite me. So in that I don’t just go with my own flow, I have my own sea and my own boat too (smiles).

Q: But you have been getting offers. Nothing exciting yet?
A: Yes, I have been reading scripts, but haven’t come across anything that would excite me yet.

Q: Would working with good friend Shah Rukh Khan or Ajay be a draw for you to sign a film?
A: No. That would be a bonus, but I would still never do a two-bit role, even if it’s with them. The real pull has to be the script, really. I mean it could be a small role, but has to be a powerful one.

Q: But you have been quite busy with your endorsements?
A: Yes, I have been doing quite a few of them and Nysa loves all my ads. Thank God! (laughs)

Q: There’s been buzz of you doing a film with Shah Rukh Khan?
A: Nothing’s on the cards yet.

Q: Would you consider direction?
A: No, never!

Q: You have been looking fitter than ever?
A: Well, I’ve been working out and dieting (laughs). Sorry, but I’m not going to lie that I don’t. But I diet, not starve and love working out too. I’m really regular with it. It’s that ‘me time’ that I look forward to every day.

The dream to watch the delightful onscreen couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol recreate eternal love like they did in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham or the more recent My Name Is Khan, is far from realisation. The latest gossip that Karan Johar was considering a script with his buddies and favourite onscreen jodi SRK and Kads is untrue.

In an interview, the mommy, who is growing sexier with every passing day, denied signing a film opposite the Badshah of Bollywood. Kajol said she will love to team up onscreen with her buddy SRK, or even hubby Ajay Devgn, but insists she won’t overlook the film’s story and screenplay to just do a film with them. The leading lady who is known for emotionally powerful performances said, “The real pull (to act) has to be the script, really. It could be a small role, but has to be a powerful one.” And we don’t defy what Kads believes. ‘Coz even though her last film, We Are Family got mixed reviews, we think no one else could have brought alive the suffering and sentiments of a dying mother like Mrs Devgn.

Kajol opted to walk off centrestage when her filmi career was at its peak, which could be a lesson for all those lovely leading ladies who are putting off their personal lives for that lure of the arclights. Kajol holds forth on fitness, living life on her own terms, parenting and making yet another comeback in films.
At home, Kajol is the perfect daughter, wife and mother. At work, she is an actress in a league of her own, and remains unaffected by the stardom around her. After taking a breather from films post the birth of her second child, Kajol is gearing up to act in films again. She's lost weight and looks fit and glowing when I meet her at her Juhu bungalow. She is supervising lunch for her two children, Nysa and Yug, as I walk in. Excerpts from a chat with the fiery Kads:

You've lost your post-pregnancy weight.
I took nearly a year to get back into shape in a gradual, healthy way so I could go around doing what I wanted to rather than putting my life on hold and being hellbent on losing weight! I followed a diet and regular workouts. Fitness has to be a part of your life, and not take over your entire life. I control my diet as I believe I have to take care of myself. I intend to live at least till I'm 100, so I should take care as I have some 70 years to go (laughs)! Having said that, I have my regular life, I go on holidays, etc. I am obsessed with fitness, not with losing weight. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came under a lot of criticism because she hasn't lost her post-pregnancy weight.

(Snaps) It's stupid to have this conversation. Everyone has the right to their lives and to look the way they want to! Tomorrow I can put on 25 kilos... it's my choice, my body! She's at home taking care of her baby. As long as it doesn't affect her work, I don't understand why it should be under discussion.

Talking of acting, you took a long break...
Yes, I had taken a break as I had Yug, and I wanted to take care of him. I am now looking at working again. I hate to say this, but I am searching for the right script and till that comes along I am taking a break (laughs).

What kind of a script?
It has to be a good script with a tight screenplay. The production house needs to be good too. It is as important as your role in the film. Contd. on Back Page

You are the only actress who - despite marriage and babies - is in demand.
It feels good to know that you are still in demand and people still want to see you. It is great that filmmakers think I can influence people to that extent; I am grateful for that and hope to continue doing that.

How do you keep yourself busy?
Looking after babies is a full-time job, trust me (laughs)! We also have a production house, Ajay Devgn Ffilms. I am not involved in the 24x7 aspect of it, but yes, I like overseeing everything.

Are you doing Karan Johar's film with Shah Rukh Khan next year?
I have no idea about that. When I asked Karan about it, he said he was concentrating on Student Of The Year. Right now, he's not even thinking about anything else till the film releases.

Shah Rukh and you are still the most popular pair in B-Town.
What can I say? I think it's got to do with the movies we've made together. They've all done well. There's a cinematic history that has contributed to the overall persona of us as a pair. We share a good comfort level and are also good friends.

Your friend SRK and your husband Ajay Devgn, supposedly dislike each other. Ever tried to sort it out?
There is no problem to sort out, so I don't know what everybody goes on about. They are not bosom buddies who hang out with each other, but that doesn't make them enemies!

Ever thought of direction?
No. I am not going to direct a film. Writing maybe, as I do have ideas and have thought about it, but not right now.

What about being a hands-on producer?
I don't want to be any kind of producer at all - hands-on or otherwise! I feel producing is a very difficult job and creates ulcers! Maybe some people would like to have a certain amount of control, not me. It's too much stress and includes managing everybody's egos... handling my own is enough!

Your sister Tanisha is handling production for Son Of Sardaar...
Tanisha is a hard-working girl. As of now, she hasn't come to me with any complaints. She's independently handling everything and I am proud of her.

Who is a stricter parent - Ajay or you?
Definitely me, as I am with the kids a lot more than he is. I am the disciplinarian. When they want something, they don't have a choice but to come to me and it all depends on my good humour!

Does Ajay spoil the children?
I wouldn't say he spoils them, but he is certainly more indulgent. Of course, he would love to spoil Nysa, but I think as a parent he has a responsibility and is very conscious of it.

Ajay and you hardly socialise. Is that a conscious decision - to spend more time with the family at home?
Yes, definitely it's a conscious decision on both our parts to stay at home and spend time with the family. Also both of us are lazy, so we just don't want to go out! Going out at night and having a fabulous social life takes a lot out of you, and I don't know if I have that much to give honestly. I would rather give that time to my kids or spend that time reading a book or watching a film. I am selfish and lazy.

You are one actress who has never played by the rules...
Everybody has their own rules, and so do I. I have always lived on my own terms. As far as mistakes are concerned, I've made them and acknowledged them as mistakes, not regrets. I consider my life a success. There's nothing that I would re-do. I've always done what I felt was right.

Have you ever thought of doing television?
I have thought about it, but I am very picky, so it has to be the right thing for me to do. I don't know what kind of show I would like to do. I never plan these things. I sound ambitionless when I say this, but I feel that my ambitions are different from other people's.

You don't seem to have a clique of friends like say Gauri Khan or Twinkle Khanna. Comment
I've had the same set of friends for God knows how many years, and it has nothing to do with a clique or group! Some are filmi and some non-filmi. My friends are my friends - they are not MY group. I don't own them and they don't own me.

The first-look poster of Farah Khan’s debut with Boman Irani shows the duo in the all-time-favourite “Didi Tera Dewar Deewana” pose from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and just the release of the poster has got film buffs amusedand excited about this upcoming release.

“Madhuri isn’t the only one Farah will be impersonating,” says a source adding, “She will soon be stepping into the shoes of Aishwarya and Kajol as well from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge respectively.”

The result of Karisma Kapoor’s first film after getting married and delivering two babies is out. Vikram Bhatt’s Dangerous Ishhq hasn’t found many fans. According to box office reports, young guns Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s violent love story Ishaqzaade is drawing more people to the theatres than the yummy mummy’s past life drama.

To make matters worse, a lot of fingers are being pointed at the top leading lady of the 90s for choosing an outdated regression plot to re-launch her career in Bollywood. We think a little differently. We feel Lolo had no choice but to take up Dangerous Ishhq. Here’s why we think she accepted the film.

- Having done her singing, dancing and looking pretty bit in movies before the wedding, Karisma had to bounce back with an intensely powerful role. She felt the DI character spread over three life spans offered her the chance to perform.

- On the other hand, Karisma’s contemporary Kajol shares the best onscreen chemistry with Shahrukh Khan and still gets film offers opposite the superstar. Kads and SRK’s best buddies Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra are few such filmmakers. Whereas Lolo’s only hit pairing was with Govinda – whose own career is going nowhere – and she certainly doesn’t have the right friends in the right high places.

- For a while Kareena Kapoor’s elder sister was on the lookout for a film to re-launch her acting career. Initially, I Am director Onir was going to make a movie starring her in the lead, but talks failed mid-way. Since Lolo was serious about making a comeback, she had to accept whatever she could from the films offered to her.

Don’t you feel these reasons justify Lolo’s saying ‘yes’ to DI? But the limited options for a female actors reiterate that women characters gaining significance in films is just a mis-perception.

Will SRK Be Out Of Work By The End Of 2012?

Controversies chase him like a dog chases a bone. Shah Rukh Khan, to be very frank, looks a shadow of his well-behaved self in the past. But we would refrain from talking about his life beyond movies, because we would like to remember him for the man he is on-screen, i.e., who can swoon the ladies with the bat of an eyelid. But what we hear as of now is that the King of Romance might not even have movies to entice us with, even if we want to forget his off-screen antics, by taking solace in those. SRK, currently, has only two movies in hand, which he’ll be done with by the end of this year. So does that mean Shah Rukh, the actor, would merely be a part of the movie folklore after the end of the year?

He is so charismatic that you just cannot escape his charm. But his recent self has proved to be derogatory, if not insulting, to his own image. What we wanted was the actor in Shah Rukh to overshadow the businessman (from Delhi) in him. As of now, Shah Rukh is in the post-production stages of the yet-untitled Yashraj’s next. And thereafter he goes on to work in Rohit Shetty’s next ‘Chennai Express’. So these are the only two concrete projects he has at disposal, because there is no confirmation as yet on his movie with Kajol. So that does basically mean that the term ‘King of Romance’ may be a passé once these movies release, and that we’d only get to see him on-screen via the IPL, which we do not want to happen as diehard fans.

We pray Shah Rukh gets his act in place and realise sooner than later how we want him to be served. Enough of KKR, we want the “KKKiran” back instead!

Ajay Devgn-Kajol to Make Film Of Female Foeticide

Mumbai: Bollywood star couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol have associated themselves with the Maharashtra government`s campaign against female foeticide and are making a film on the issue.

Devgn`s script for a social awareness film has been approved by the state`s health department.

Health Minister Suresh Shetty said the department has appreciated the script and it will be the endeavour of the government to make the film available to maximum number of theatres.

"We are strictly implementing laws to prevent child sex determination for which social awareness campaign is also necessary," Shetty said.

He said Devgn is making the film free of cost and the star couple are extending all help to the government in the social awareness campaign. They are expected to start filming soon.

Last week, Shetty wrote to actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan after the first episode of his TV show Satyamev Jayate raised the topic of female foeticide. The minister urged him to join hands with the state government on this issue.

Bollywood’s most famous producer-director Karan Johan has denied any immediate plans to bring back the Numero Uno Bollywood ‘Jodi’ (i.e. couple) of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ, 1995) duo of King Khan and Kajol had made news, with reports saying that KJo was reuniting the fiery chemistry of SRK and Kajol in Karan Johar’s next. A surprised Karan shoots back reportedly to questions saying there’s nothing on the cards at all and all his energy is dedicated to the next film ‘Student of the Year’ (SOTY). Karan dismisses as ‘conjecture’ that he is bringing back the pair he directed in another box office hit ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010).

Karan says it would be wonderful and an honor to work with Shah Rukh and Kajol who, he believes is the best pair Hindi cinema has ever seen. But there is nothing on the cards, Karan categorically insists. Karan is busy with the post-production work on ‘SOTY’ that doesn’t have any big star in the lead. The film will launch newcomers Alia Bhatt (Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter), Varun Dhawan (David Dhawan’s son) and model Siddharth Malhotra. 'I've Been In Love Several Times'

Veena Mallik knows she is a celebrity because she is what she is. And she doesn't miss a chance to flaunt how hot she thinks she is, whether it’s the way she poses for the shutterbugs, her walk or her flirtatious ways.

“I know I am hot and I was a pretty cute kid in school as well. I am used to getting a lot of attention and I love every bit of it. I always remain cool and calm while those around me get tensed,” she laughs.

Veena, who was in the City for the press meet of her first Kannada film titled Dirty Picture Silk Sakkath Maga, was asked a lot of uncomfortable questions, but she handled them all pretty smartly.

The Pakistani model was not a child of controversy by birth. So, it took a while for her to digest it all. “Yes, there’s lot that is written about me and my personal life, almost everyday, in the papers, even if there’s nothing happening. Initially, I found it quite abnormal and used to get upset but now I just smile it off,” she says.

Why did she choose a Kannada film for her debut in the Southern film industry? “I have been getting a lot of offers from the Tamil and Kannada film industry but I was waiting for the right script to come along.

The ‘Dirty Picture...’ has a strong script and my role is a performance-oriented one. The script gives me a chance to explore the actor in me. There are hot scenes, glamourous shots and a lot of scope for performance,” she says.

Ask her if she has any actor she particularly admires in Bollywood or down South and she says, without a second thought, “I find Ajay Devgan really hot. I hope to act with him someday. And when I do, I think Kajol should be warned so as to make sure that her husband doesn’t get stolen,” she beams.

Veena is determined to learn Kannada but says she doesn’t know the names of the heroes in the Kannada film industry, “The men in Kannada films are tall, dark and handsome. I will get to know them pretty soon,” she adds.

Veena is ambitious. “I want to play a cop or a spy someday. I have a pretty good physique and I really want to do some action sequences. I like challenges,” she says.
About love, Veena says, “I’ve been in love several times and in and out of relationships as well. It’s a very complicated thing,” she avers.

This is Veena’s first visit to the City, “I’ve heard so much about Bangalore. I will be returning to spend a month here during which I will explore the City,” she wraps up.

Karan Johar, who's one of the judges of Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa season 5, took everyone by surprise, when he called Kajol is his favourite dancer. The filmmaker believes that her expressions cannot be matched by any other actress.

When probed further about the same, Karan said, "Kajol is my favourite dancer. I enjoy seeing her dancing. The way she has danced in Ooh la la la song from Sapnay is something I still love. I feel her face dances more than her feet."

Nevertheless, Karan is one filmmaker, who knows how to strike a balance between his friends. When asked whom would he like to dance with, Karan promptly pointed towards Madhuri. He said, "I want to dance with Madhuri. I am not mad to dance with anyone else. Dancing with Madhuri is my dream."
